Land intensive use and economic development are mutually improved. Coordinated development between land intensive use and economic is the way to achieve urban social economy sustainable development. Different economic development levels of cities have different land intensive use, so this paper discusses the spatiotemporal disparities between land intensive use and economic development in Shaa’xi province. On the basis of research achievements of many scholars, the author according to the actual situation in Shaan’xi Province establishes index system, and determine the weight of each index through entropy method and evaluate the degree of land intensive use and the level of economic development of10cities in Shaan’xi province using the comprehensive model of multiple indexes, and analyze the spatiotemporal disparities between land intensive use and economic development in Shaa’xi province by using coordinated development model and ESDA etc., and then discuss the causes of these disparities. Finally, the author puts forward to the corresponding policy implications according to the conclusion. The main research conclusions are as follows:(1) The land intensive use and the economic development level of Shaan’xi province is rising year by year synchronously. The land intensive use level is low and has differences between regions. The economic development level is unbalanced. With the time passed, the land intensive use and the economic development have gradually showed a significant correlation.(2) Since1998, the centroid trajectory of land intensive use shift to the northeast and the centroid trajectory of economic development is continued move to north. It shows that the land intensive use and the economic development level of Shaan’xi northern area were improved significantly and it has influence on the whole area.(3) The coordination of land intensive use and economic development is poor, but over the time the coordination has gradually increased, and respectively transfer from the uncoordinated to the coordinated. In addition, most cities showed intensive land use lags behind the economic development, so the land intensive use is to be further enhanced.(4) The land intensive use、the economic development and the coordination degree between them of cities in Shaan’xi showed positive or negative correlation in space. The agglomeration benefits and the leading role of radiation of cities are poor.(5) Due to the impact of topography, climate and other natural factors as well as the history foundation and policy and other factors, making the economic development of Shaan’xi Province is unbalance and showing obvious geographical characteristics. With the regional industrial structure, urban population size and other factors constraint the intensive land use. Therefore the level of intensive land use and the level of economic development in Shaan’xi Province present certain temporal differences. To promote the coordinated development of the intensive land use and the economic development in Shaan’xi Province, it must formulate some policies based on local conditions.
