With the advent of knowledge economy, Chinese enterprises will face more and more fierce competition. For the military industrial enterprises, the national investment will continue to decrease and the original motivation mechanism for design staff is not suitable for the requirements of the market economic system. The human resource is the first resource of military industrial enterprises and the enterprises’ competition is essentially the competition of talents. Only a set of scientific and reasonable motivation mechanism is established in the enterprise so that a large number of talents can be attracted, retained and well used in order to ensure that the health and sustainable development of the enterprise. In this thesis, motivation mechanism for designers Of CS Company is mainly investigated.Through the investigation and research on the current motivation status for designers Of CS Company and the thorough interviews for the responsible persons and technical backbones of the relevant departments, some problems are found in the motivation process for designers. Then the causes of these problems are analyzed thoroughly and the scheme of motivation mechanism for designers Of CS Company is projected. A variety of means are simultaneously implemented for the effective implementation of the motivation scheme.On the basis of the concepts of motivation and motivation mechanism and the theories of content motivation and process motivation, the current motivation status for designers Of CS Company is briefly introduced. Then some deficiencies are found in the existing motivation process, such as the some deficiencies are found in the existing motivation process, such as the equalitarianism in the implementation of income distribution, single assessment, narrow rising channel for designers, imperfect training mechanism and so on. Through analyzing and discussing the causes of the current problems, a new scheme of motivation mechanism for designers Of CS Company is proposed. The suggested scheme takes into account both material and spirit motivations and emphasizes salary motivation, development motivation and other motivations. At the same time, a lot of measures are adopted in the implementation of the motivation scheme, such as increasing investments in culture construction of the enterprise, introducing sound and scientific regulations and so on. Consequently, the working enthusiasm and initiative of designers and the central competitive power of the company is further improved. Finally, the contributions and the deficiencies of the paper are summarized.
