Research On Location Selection Of Recycle Center Based On Reverse Logistics Management

With the progress of science and technology and improvement of people's lives, the consumer's demand of diversity and individuality is becoming higher and higher. So the product lifecycle cuts and the generation update frequently, and it causes more and more discarded goods. Meanwhile, people pay more attention on environmental protection and the laws on environmental protection increase. Many countries have asked the manufacture enterprises for the responsibility of the total process of product lifecycle, especially the old and discarded goods. Thus comes with the newly developing Reverse Logistics, which gradually becomes the focus of theory and industry.Since 1990s, research on reverse logistics is still under developing while most research and results are made in developed countries in Europe and US. Generally speaking, the research on reverse logistics in China just begins. Therefore documents and research achievements in Chinese are scarce, which makes further research more difficult.Based on abroad and domestic literature review on reverse logistics, this paper summarizes the basic knowledge on reverse logistics. From the particularity of reverse logistics, it compares the characteristic of reverse logistics and forward logistics.Just like many other systems, the design of reverse logistics systems is crucial for their long-term operation and development. The middle part of this article describes the structure of a reverse logistics system in details, compares the difference between the design model of a reverse logistics system and traditional location selection and also analyses the integration of a reverse logistics system and supply chain, the construction of logistics channel.Location selection is crucial in logistics system planning. From two aspects, this paper analyses the issue of selecting the recycle center. In qualitative analysis, it gets the influence factor of location selection from the differences between reverse logistics and forward logistics. In quantitative analysis, it explains the AHP, Delphi and center of gravity methods and uses AHP in case study.Reverse logistics management system is a new research field and its research method and mathematics model should be developed further. Finally, the paper presents the prospect of the research direction of reverse logistics management system.
