Human resources have become a key point for a corporate who wants to win its competitive advantage, while corporate training is playing a more important role as a strategic requirement of enterprise development. However, many enterprises, especially the chain retail industry, which are developing rapidly, like to implement the training at random. Before the training has started, they don’t intend to investigate and analyze the training requirements and ignore the support to service. After the training is completed, the assessment for training effect is often ignored. As a result, the training loses its function and value slowly and become dispensable.Aiming at this problem, I made a study of a representative company in retail chain industry-Daphne, along with the training evaluation. By borrowing from existing training evaluation model, I would propose the need for Daphne to select scientific assessment programs and assessment model. That means, when assessing the trainee, Daphne should refer to the Phillips’s five grades of evaluation model. Meanwhile, in the assessment of the training itself, CIPP model (necessary complement for CIRO model) is more suitable. By using a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, I would assess and analyze the training situation in Daphne Company, which would help us ultimately understand the problems in Daphne’s corporate training program:lack of effective investigation upon training requirement, training not consistent with the strategy of Daphne company, bad training frame work, etc. Based on these studies, I would make a deep research upon the status of training effect and existing problems in Daphne Company. Furthermore, I would give my opinions regarding effective polices and methods on how to improve the training effect.In this paper, I am going to make an in-depth study upon Daphne, along with its training situation. Through this research, I hope to summarize the training evaluation programs, and to develop strategies to enhance the effectiveness of training. I believe this study has a certain reference value to the entire chain retail industry, not only to Daphne. This would be the focus of my study and innovation would also be addressed.
