Tourism resource is the carrier of tourism development. Evaluation of tourism resource value is the need to clear the focus of tourism development, service to the government planning; is conducive to the sustainable utilization of tourism resources.Desert Tourism as an important tourism resource in China, for the evaluation of the value is less, and there are no comparative studies. This paper chooses Shapotou scenic area of Ningxia and Badanjilin scenic of Mongolia as the study area, through a total of5times to carry out field research,1000questionnaires were completed, and then the questionnaire for data processing. Secondly, by constructing the system of desert tourism resource value, evaluating the value, Shapotou scenic area assessed by the improved zonal travel cost method, and the cost sharing method of Badanjilin. Non use value is evaluated by contingent valuation method. Finally, through the comparative analysis method, comparative study of Shapotou and Badanjilin spots.Research shows that, the value of Shapotou scenic spot in2012was about4.09billion yuan, the non use value was0.23billion yuan, the total economic value was4.32billion yuan. The tourism value of Badanjilin scenic area was35.715Million yuan, the non use value was0.828million yuan, the total economic value was about36.54million yuan.Research draws four conclusions:desert tourism resources have important economic value; improved travel cost method of classification area in evaluation of tourism value of multi destination cost allocation problem show good results; there is a big difference between Shapotou and Badanjilin scenic value assessment methods; Shapotou scenic area value was significantly higher than that of Badanjilin scenic spot, which can provide reference for the Badanjilin scenic area development, by increasing accessibility, expanding the tourist market, increase the consumer diversity, moderate development of Desert Resort method to improve the Badanjilin scenic area value.
