Electric power supplier is always less competition than other corporations due to the particularity of its own industry. At presently, State Grid is carrying out "Three sets of five" reform (i.e., Intensive management in human resources, financial resources, and material resources. Large-scale movements in programming, construction, operation, overhaul, and production). With the development of electric power supplier and the urgent requirement of UHV (ultra-high voltage) technology and construction of smart grid, it is necessary for electric power supplier to transform the way of management and development.The research is based on the theories of competency and competency model. It analyzes current situation of staff training in Jiayuguan electric power supplier and problems in it. Then, a plan aimed at improving training of staffs at primary level is put forward. At last, some measures are suggested to improve training. Therefore, the research has the certain theoretical and practical significance.This paper will study and do some research of competency of team training after analysis of problem of HR training nowadays. And study deeply the management theory parallelizing with case study, based on JiaYuGuan electric power supplier. Such research is good for other electric power supplier to use for reference, is the field of training management.
