Relieving knowledge workers’ working stress is an important task for humanresource management, and it will promote enterprise’s sustainable development. Basedon the working stress theory, this paper classifies working stressors in terms ofdescriptive text attributes and interviews, which lays the foundation for the analysis ofworking stressors as well as the design of the questionnaire. Based on the analyticalframework of "working stressor-buffer variables-stress results", this paper conducts aquestionnaire survey in terms of knowledge workers’ working stress, stress results(including work satisfaction, work involvement, organizational commitment and workperformance) and the buffer variables (including self-efficacy and sense oforganizational support), and then analyzes reliability and validity of the questionnairewith SPSS17.0statistics software,Pearson Correlation analysis and Multiple StepwiseRegression analysis. The results show that enterprise knowledge workers have amoderate level of working stress, there is a significant negative correlation betweenworking stress and working attitude, there is no significant correlation between workingstress and working performance, and knowledge workers’ self-efficacy and sense oforganizational support can relieve working stress. Finally, this paper puts forwardcountermeasures for working stress management of knowledge workers from enterpriselevel and individual level: including working stressor control, effective motivation,interpersonal relationship stress relief and career development and so on, to enhancework satisfaction and company loyalty, and to relieve working stress.
