The CNC roller grinding machine is an important equipment of the steel plate rollingproduction line.Its grinding precision and grinding efficiency have a direct impact on therolling quality of steel plates and production efficiency.The hot strip rolling line requires ahigh product quality,so the rollers are changed frequently.The specialized CNC rollergrinding machines are used to achieve the high efficiency grinding to ensure theproduction is smooth. The existing equipments in Tang Gang don’t have the function of thegrinding pass mills’ working rollers and backup rollers.Purchasing new equipmentsrequires a large investment.If we transport products to other factories to process,theprocessing quality and time are difficult to control.Furthermore,there are some problemsincluding the high cost and the inconvenience transportation.Therefore,the author decidesto make technical transformation on multi-function CNC roller grinding machines whichproduced by a German company called WALDRICH SIEGEN.According to researching and analyzing the actual production of the enterprise,thisarticle develops a reasonable rehabilitation program.On the basis of the originalfunction,two center racks are designed,by which the multi-function CNC roller grindingmachines will achieve the grinding function of working rollers and backup rollers.The design of the mechanical parts is completed based on some information andactual measuring data.The strength and stiffness of key components are ensured to meetperformance requirements.The hydraulic drive is chosen as the power loading system.As for downtime,a separate small hydraulic station is designed and appropriatehydraulic cylinders and hydraulic pump are also selected.In order to ensure the stability ofthe system,a set of separate PLC control system is used to control the center racksupplementary motor.Whether the improved mechanical properties and the processing accuracy is to meetthe requirements should be illustrated by general acceptance and testing grindingacceptance.
