PVC Safety Information Management System Design And Development

Production of the petrochemical industry tends to be large-scale and complex ondaily basis, which brings considerable economic benefits and enhancing danger levels.As a result, the demand of security information management system becomes moreurgent. Computer-based information management to a large extent makes upshortcomings of traditional chemical safety management such as time-consuming andincomprehensive. Consequently, computer-based safety information management hasbeen widely implemented all over the world.This thesis is designed for PVC Safety Information Management System，discusses chemical safety information system related common developmentinstruments as the database management system (DBMS), Client/Server, and C++language, elaborates design principles and design methods of the system, establishesthe PVC Safety Information Management System module, and develops a set ofsafety information system software suitable for enterprises. PVC Safety InformationManagement System is mainly constituted by eight sections, which are customermanagement, medium information in production process, facility information, safetyaccident information, laws and regulations and contingency plan information. Aschoosing SQL Server as designed database of the system, Visual Stdio.NET2008andSQL Server2008as the development tool, programming reaches each section’sfunctional requirements, such as actions of adding, deleting, modifying, searching andmaking statistics to data of safety information system. By taking tests of the system,results indicate that this PVC Safety Information Management System is easily to becontrolled, safety, stable and moreover, there are possibilities to be further developed.
