With the development of coal industry, shipments continued to improve, and the advanced coal handling system also appears, the shipment of coal is an important sign of the degree of modernization in the coal industry. In our country, the level of coal shipments is not same, the operation modes are different, and the operation modes of manual accounting and manual loading are still existent. Not only the automatic degree is not high in these operation modes, which does damage to the enterprise economic benefits, but also it is unfavorable to understand the real-time running situation of the scene for the workers, and it is not beneficial for real-time management.This thesis based on analysis of the needs of the project scene, design the control system of automatic quantitative loading. The system adopts the superior-inferior mode to control, the superior control system adopts common PC and RSView32 configuration software, then the inferior control system adopts the AB series programmable logic controller(PLC), which realize the whole loading process automatic quantitative control, it can be accurate and reliable real-time recording and monitoring the operation condition of each equipment in loading process. The system has the functions of reports automatic querying and printing, traffic statistics, system error message alarm, interlock shutdown and so on. Firstly, the control plan of the automatic quantitative loading system are introduced in this thesis based the analysis of the needs of the project scene. Then in order to verify the correctness of the system design and optimization it, a shipment system simulation model is established based on Matlab/Simulink and the simulation result is analyzed. Then it analyzes the design of the hardware and the software, the development process of the procedures based on RSLogix5000 which is programming software and the monitoring interface based on RSView32 which is configuration software is elaborated, it also details the OPC communication based RSLinx Classic and the RLS (Recursive Least-Squares) algorithm and its application. Then Finally, it introduced the installation and commissioning situation in scene of the coal station, and propose solutions for the problem in commissioning process.Through commissioning results in scene, the design of the control system of automatic quantitative coaling loading satisfied the control requirements of the production process, and it achieved the industrial index of loading speed and loading accuracy.
