Aiming at the comprehensive performance of ball screws and finding the influencing factors under the comparison between domestic and foreign products in the background of the national science and technology project "Research of Roller Components Common Features Technology in High-grade CNC Machine (2012ZX04002021)".This comprehensive performance testing protocol is based on the domestic and foreign manufacturers who already have screw machining performance testing equipments, the basic principles of the methods to the measurement of the screw and screw performance testing standards! According to the experimental outline of test device structures, we construct the control systems. The control systems consist of hardware design and software design. The hardware design consists of drive control module and data acquisition module.The drive control module selects Siemens’ 828D CNC system with AC servo motor drive measurements table movement; the data acquisition module select and use industrial control computer as a principal, with the configuration of data acquisition cards and tally cards to collect and store various sensor signals.Software design is based on the existing hardware devices, designing respectively systems on drive control systems and data acquisition units. The control module controls use the G-code programming and control the workbench to reciprocate within the specified range at a given speed. Data acquisition module uses the Visual Basic language preparation and realizes instant curve displaying of the testing results.On the basis of measurement and control system which has been finished, we do a comprehensive test on the external loop double nut ball screw. According to screw performance assessment criteria, we judge their accuracy class and assess its sporty performance which is the maximum operating speed and acceleration performance. Also, we conduct the stretch analysis focusing on the thermal deformation analysis.
