Straightening machine is indispensable equipment in the curved continuous casting machine production, which plays a very important role. As in the continuous casting process, the straightening machine work in hot and dusty environment, as well as influenced by its vibration, fatigue, fever and other factors, straightening machine production capacity, reliability and security will greatly decrease in the production process, in order to ensure straightening function to work properly, and the structural safety and reliability, strength, stiffness, Solid Modeling and Simulation are carried on on 120 billet straightening machines, and the finite element analysis is carried on its main components in this paper.Firstly, theoretical calculation is implemented for 120 straightening machine billet casting force based on technical parameters, then three-dimensional modeling is implemented for the main components of the 120 straightening machine billet, and the whole general assembly is implemented with Solid Works 3D mechanical design software,and straightening machine working process motion simulation is implemented through virtual simulation tools Motion on this basis. Static Analysis is implemented for part of the work roll, rack, beams and swinging pendulum roller seat which have impact on straightening machine straightening quality with the ANSYS finite element analysis software,we can obtain each member’s maximum stress and maximum deformation position by analyzing the stress and strain contours.Comparing the maximum yield limit stress and materials,the intensity of the various components meets the requirements. The maximum deformation of the various components is within the allowable range in the material volume of elastic deformation, meeting the stiffness requirements.And Modal Analysis is implemented for straightening machine by using ANSYS finite element analysis software,obtaining the dynamic characteristics of tension leveler and vibration intensity.And detailed analysis is implemented for the dynamic characteristics of straightening machine,which verifies the smooth performance of straightening machine. Lastly,thermodynamic analysis of temperature and stress field is implemented for straightening machine’s work rolls of key components,the results show a greater degree of influence on the thermal stress of work rolls.The research on this topic has an important guiding significance for 120 billet straightening machine’s actual production,which provides theoretical reference value for 120 billet straightening machine’s design and maintenance.
