Structure of transtrational mechanical press is complex, and single working mode and low control precision make it difficult to meet the requirements of high precision processing. Compared with the mechanical press, servo press adopts servo motor as a drive mechanism, Make the process more intelligent, and has higher precision. Application PLC and industrial PC as the control system of the servo press, is high cost, high power consumption and low real-time. So design a servo press based on ARM processor, servo motor as power source, electric cylinder as actuator, Integration of input and output, display devices, embedded controller to a body, by adopting the combination of full and half closed-loop servo control method, can realized the high precision of position and pressure pile.Paper main research content is as follows:(1)The paper first introduces the development status of both at home and abroad press, as well as the background and significance of the development of embedded servo presser. Analyzed the working principle of the embedded servo presser and according to the system requirements,planning the corresponding solutions.(2)According to the scheme planning, overall design the system,including mechanical structure, hardware circuit, software system, and analyzes the mechanism of the pressed, the choice of embedded operating system and processor.(3)Detailed design of hardware circuit, including digital I/O, AD conversion module, grating encoder, RS232 interface, and a detailed explanation to each circuit.(4)In the hardware platform which we developed, detailed in this paper,the operating system development and migration process, at the same time,detailed introduced the hardware interface driver development.(5)Develop the servo presser’ s system application software, it has three work modes: pressure mode, distance mode and manual mode, each mode operation is simple, flexible parameter Settings, processing curve and real-time data display.(6)Use the equipment this paper designed to do pressure and displacement control experiment, the experiment results show that pressure control precision can reach 1% of full scale, displacement control has a accuracy of 0.02 mm, satisfy the requirements of the equipment.After a long time running, the equipment response fast and good stability, in the other way, it is low cost,and achieve a higher position and pressure control precision, can be applied to the bearing assembly, plastic molding, and other areas of the small tonnage piling, also has the very good guidance for the practical application.
