In the past years, with the coal related industry developing rapidly, the supply of the coal has sharply been increased and the price is very high. During the process of the mining of coal, the roadway drifting is the difficult point to limit the coal mining. Having referred to the relevant information at home and abroad, we have studied the reasons for the machine failures in the process of working and found that we should improve the electric control system of the boring machine(EBZ100) in the Mine Xiandewang to make it work efficiently.The weight of the machine is more than 30 tons and the manufacturing cost is as much as over 3 million yuan, so we can’t abandon the machine randomly. The shortcomings of most boring machines lie in the electric control system, so it is necessary to improve it. Besides, the cost of improving the system is lower. Mine Xiandewang has thought over the problem in the two years and at last decided to improve the electric control system. Through the practical work of research, we have summarized that there are many things to influence the drifting speed, such as the damage of the motor temperature detecting element, protection malfunction,voltage and current detecting error for the electrical components’ vibration and so on, which is because electrical protection is not reliable and vary in the electric control system of machine components.By studying the use of the boring machine of the Mine Xiandewang, and on the basis of the points of failure of the 7 boring machines, we mainly improve the electric control system signal acquisition, processing, conversion, and output and increases the accuracy of detection devices. Mainly in the aspect of hardware and related software performed by Shijiazhuang MeiJi Chang. Retrofit scheme mainly reflects in: adopting touch screen and BH9 comprehensive protector, and replacing the original digital display tube and the motor synthetic protector, these improvements can realize intensive electric control system, intuitive display and comprehensive protection. We use the FX2N-4 AD module to transform the voltage current signal to improve the reliability of the electric control system and control accuracy and meet the Mine Xiandewang’s requirements to the boring machines.
