Nowadays, people’s lifestyles and consumption concepts are changing while the economic developing rapidly. Mental consumption tends to become more preferred than material consumption. The new generation of young families desire the clothes to possess not only practical function, but also connotation in deep mental level. Several factors, such as the change of clothes consumption pattern, market share segment and competition have resulted in the emergence of a series of Family fitted which employed to express family relation. Recently,Family fitted has become a highlight in apparel industry, and more people are willing to express the happiness and belonging sense obtained from family by wearing Family fitted.This study investigated(including consumer questionnaire) the market share of Family fitted in Tokyo, Taipei and Peking. Based on the concept of Family fitted, the survey results was used to compare the difference between domestic and foreign Family fitted market status, and then analyze the issues existing in domestic market. According to the advanced understanding of design features and market tendency, the concepts and elements for designing Family fitted, the solutions of the issues presenting in the current design process and the improvement methods for specific design procedures have been suggested in the view of designer. The prospective of this study is to provide new ideas to Family fitted companies, and contribute to the healthy and reasonable development of Family fitted market.
