Furnace is the major production devices in petrochemical company, these furnaces will consume a lot of energy and discharge harmful gases such as CO2, NOX, which seriously damage and affect the ecological environment and put great pressure for the companies to save energy, make profit and protect the environment. Therefore, it has great sense to have a research on how to decrease the energy consumption and release less harmful gas.Based on the analysis of the development and application of nano ceramic coating materials at home and abroad, this article mainly introduced the transformation of the RSI ceramic coatings for the furnace radiation heating area in the third joint workshop of Sinopec Luoyang Company. Through comparing a series of data before and after using nano ceramic coating materials, it shows that after RSI ceramic coatings was used, the radiation heat transfer is strengthened, the thermal conductive resistance is reduced, the combustion and heat transfer process are optimized, meanwhile the NOx emission is reduced and the service life of the substrate materials is increased.The application result shows that after RSI ceramic coatings was adopted, the thermal efficiency of heating furnace, production capacity, safety, reliability and emission characteristics are greatly improved. The fuel gas consumption has been greatly decreased and the thermal efficiency has obviously been improved, thus obtaining a good economic benefit and the desired purpose has been achieved.
