With the continuous consumption of social resources, environmental pollution become heavier. More and more people began to focus on environmental protection and development low carbon economy. People began to promote recycling of waste resources. In this way not only can protect the environment, but also solve the shortage of social resources. Recycled polyester is a kind of fiber used recycled PET as main raw material. The main source of raw material is waste PET bottle flakes. Therefore, fabrics made of recycled polyester fiber not only meet the requirements of environmental protection and sustainable development. The quality of recycled polyester is improving with the continuous improvement of waste PET recycling technology, and has a tendency to replace polyester fiber gradually.Firstly, observing the cross and longitudinal section of recycled polyester fiber by electronic microscope, then do basic performance testing on fiber. The experimental results show that the cross section features of recycled polyester is solid round similar with polyester fibers. The longitudinal section of recycled polyester is smoothing cylindrical. The fiber has low moisture regain, so the fiber has poor moisture quick-drying properties. The fiber has high strength and initial modulus but low breaking elongation, so the fiber have high rigidity and poor flexibility.On the basis of taking full account of recycled polyester fiber properties, choose environmentally friendly fiber Tencel and make them blends. Design with five different proportions blended yarn as follows, 45% recycled polyester/55% Tencel,55% recycled polyester/55% Tencel,65%recycled polyester/35% Tencel,75% recycled polyester /25%Tencel,85% recycled polyester/15% Tencel, 100% recycled polyester and 100% polyester yarns.Using the seven yarns as raw material for trial samples and fabric is developed seven kinds of different specifications of the plain weft knitted fabric.Do basic performance and moisture quick-drying properties testing about seven fabrics.Wherein the basic function performance testing over mechanical properties testing, breathe ability testing, pilling resistance testing, wrinkle recovery testing, softness tests and pore size testing. Firstly, evaluating moisture and wicking performance of fabrics by gray correlationanalysis method. Evaluating the best performance fabric in moisture and wicking. Then evaluate the other basic function performances by fuzzy math. Based on the analysis of two results, judge the best comprehensive properties of the fabric. The results showed that the fabric’s moisture quick-drying properties become better with lower contents of recycled polyester. So the best moisture quick-drying property fabric is 45% recycled polyester fiber fabric. However, the best moisture quick-drying fabric properties are still less than the national standard technical requirements. From other properties of fabrics, fabrics content of 75% and85% recycled polyester have better overall performance in blended fabrics. Combining the two assessments, choosing content of 85% recycled polyester to modification treatment. In order to develop moisture quick-drying textiles based on recycled polyester fiber.Do heat treatment for the best blended fabric by alkali reduction process. Utilize ester hydrolysis reaction between the polymer compound and strong alkalis. Choosing different concentrations of alkaline solution do alkali reduction treatment. Then evaluate best process by testing reduction rate. Testing moisture wicking properties and reduction rate for treated blended fabrics. The results show the best process is using 15 g / L solution in alkali reduction process to treat 30 min in 100℃ water. Reduction rate less than 15% of fabrics by the process. And the indicators of moisture quick-drying meet the national standard technical requirements.Determine its application in the field of clothing and home textile according to the function,and then do pattern and color design for fabrics. Complete the follow-up development work fabrics, and do industrial exploration.
