The case in China’s paper industry related data, established the China made paper industry environmental protection comprehensive strength index system, estimates of China’s manufacturing industry environmental protection intensity index, then in papermaking industry trade competitive advantages of measure, construct a multiple linear regression model, empirical analysis of the static influence of the intensity of environmental protection of industry of our country papermaking trade competitive advantage, and further build a simultaneous equations model to empirically test the strength of environmental protection of industry of our country papermaking trade competitive advantage conduction path.Research shows that from the point of static, the intensity of environmental protection to the international competitiveness of China’s paper industry has negative effect, industry scale and foreign open degree have significantly positive impact. From the transmission path, the environmental protection strength of research and development costs, industry scale and opening to foreign capital has negative effect; and the costs of research and development, industry scale and foreign openness has positive effect on trade competitive advantage, the intensity of environmental protection through technology, the scale and the structure of three transmission mechanisms of industry of our country papermaking trade competitive advantage terminal effects are negative. Finally, this paper will play an active role in improve the international competitiveness of China’s paper industry, from the state, industry, enterprise three levels put forward policy recommendations.
