The preparation of slag wool by BF slag has broad prospects, which not only brings the slag into high efficiency in sensible heat, but also helps promote the energy-saving.BF slag quenching process of homogenization not only affects the performance of slag wool fiber, but also has important influence on the resource consumption in the process of preparation of slag wool. Therefore, the homogenization of quenching process is one of the most important problems to be considered in the direct fibrosis process of BF slag.BF slag was used as the research object and iron tailings as the adjusting reagent, and dynamic and static methods were applied to study the homogenization. Static method embodied in the orthogonal experiment to determine the kinetic factors; dynamic method was used to confirm the homogenization kinetics of adjusted BF slag by testing the viscosity, as well as the practicability by the determination of the content of SiO2 and mineral phase composition in slag, and dynamic method was also used to test the physical and chemical performance of homogenization kinetics of adjusted BF slag.Orthogonal experiment was used to confirm the temperature has the biggest effect on the SiO2, the second is time, and acidity coefficient is the smallest effective. But in the static erosion test method, the homogeneous of time is too long due to the lack of stirring. When the addition of iron tailings rises more than 15.88%, homogenization significantly prolonged. As the constant temperature time extended, the content of SiO2 in the sample tend to be the same, the mineralogical compositon of slag sample is consistent with the homogeneous slag, which proved BF slag has reached the homogenization. With increasing the addition ratio of iron tailings(Adding amount was5.28%24.68%), melting temperature increasing after a reduction at first, and the value which corresponded to the viscosity of melting temperature gradually increased. Then there was no more mineral precipitation in adjusted slag and all the slag became amorphous after solidification.
