The Studies Of Project Schedule Management For Jack-up Drilling Platform Construction

The offshore drilling platform is the support of the offshore oil and gas resource development. The offshore drilling platform project schedule management is the key tech to improve the company economic benefits. It also can increase the company competitive, realize the company and project two-way management, and shorten the project cycle. The purpose is to ensure the project can accomplish on time. For the large project, the simple project plan can not control the whole project, based on this problem, this paper studies on offshore drilling platform schedule management and how to optimize the project schedule.This paper discuss the theory of project schedule management and the method of the schedule control; then introduce the MS Project software, the 300 FT jack-up drilling platform, the project organization structure, and the general situation of the project management. After that, use the MS Project software to analyses the WBS of the 300 FT project, and find out the Critical Path then research and arrange all of the problems. According to the analysis, improve the conceptions and modes of the project schedule management control. Use the conceptions and modes to optimize every activity and the WBS. In the same time, compare before optimize and after, such as the project time, project network, Critical Path, and so on. Finally get the conclusion, after optimize the 300 FT project can reduce the project duration obviously, the optimization program is feasible.According to the 300 FT project schedule management optimized, there are some situations need to be noticed. Before the project start, the company still have some preparations, such as build project organization structure, compile the project plan, and make some safeguards. When the project start, company also has to focus on some points, such as seriously implement the project schedule, improve the scheduling work, pay attention to the Critical Path, and so on.This paper combination of theory and practice, use the principles and technology of project management, and the project management software into the 300 FT jack-up drilling platform.
