With the rapid development of digital technology and virtual reality technology, virtual reality technology has been paid more and more attention by more and more people with the characteristics of virtual reality and immersive. The emergence of virtual assembly solves the problems of long design cycle, low assembly efficiency and high cost of design and processing, through the combination of digital modeling technology and virtual reality technology, improve the design quality, shorten the design cycle, to avoid unnecessary design defects. And then improve the competitiveness of enterprises. In this paper, a virtual assembly system based on assembly constraint is established, and the function of assembly navigation and quality evaluation in virtual environment is realized.On the basis of the analysis of WTK virtual scene, combined with the technology of secondary development of Pro/E and the ADO database technology, the geometric information, topology information and assembly information of the parts are extracted and stored in the data, easy database management and call.The assembly movement in virtual environment is studied, the concept of assembly constraint and assembly degree of freedom is introduced, based on the collision detection of the axial bounding box, identifying assembly constraints between parts, the assembly navigation of virtual environment is realized by combining the positioning process of the virtual environment and the transformation of the part coordinate system.From the angle of human machine engineering, AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are used to evaluate the quality of assembly, determining the weight of index factors by AHP. At the same time, a method based on BP neural network is proposed to adjust the consistency of the judgment matrix, the assembly quality is evaluated from the part level, assembly environment and working environment.The architecture of software system is constructed, and the software development of assembly motion navigation and assembly quality evaluation system is completed,the virtual assembly navigation function and the evaluation function of the assembly quality are verified by an example.
