The Effect Of Foreign Trade On The Efficiency Of Carbon Emission In Jiangsu Province

As a major economic province, in recent years,as the growth of economic and industrial, the total amount of carbon emissions in Jiangsu province is also greater,carbon emission reduction potential is enormous. Firstly, this paper analyses the degree of foreign trade and the data of carbon emissions in Jiangsu province, and calculates of the carbon emission efficiency of cities in Jiangsu province. And then combined with the efficiency of carbon emissions in cities of Jiangsu province,analyses of the impact of foreign trade on the efficiency of carbon emissions, and it puts forward the ideas and countermeasures to improve the efficiency of carbon emissions in our province,which provides the basis for the Jiangsu provincial and municipal government decision-making.In order to study the effect of foreign trade on the efficiency of carbon emission in Jiangsu Province, this paper uses the model of data envelopment analysis calculates the efficiency of carbon emissions of the cities in Jiangsu Province from2002 to 2011 years. On the panel data of cities in Jiangsu Province, it further verifies the effect of Foreign Trade on the efficiency of carbon emission in cities of Jiangsu Province by using Tobit mode.It finds that the effect of export and import trade on carbon dioxide emissions is positive. The effect of the technical level on the efficiency of carbon emissions is positive.The effect of the government intervention on the efficiency of carbon emissions is negative.Finally, some policy suggestions are put forward based on the research results of this paper.
