Acrylic pressure-sensit ive adhesive has excellent properties, aging resistance, low cost, stable performance, simple synthesis process, etc., so it has a wide range of applications in its self-adhesive tape, labels, pharmaceuticals, auto parts, electronic, home care and other fields. With the development of science and technology, many areas brought new challenges to the acrylic pressure-sensit ive adhesive. Resistant to alternating temperature problem is an important issue. Especially, in the aerospace, electronics and some places with big environmental temperature change, the pressure-sensit ive adhesion at a low temperature environment is difficult to splice, and at high temperatures to remove difficult ly. This is a problem to be solved.Firstly, acrylic pressure-sensit ive adhesive with good adhesive and pressure-sensit ive performance was synthesized with solution polymerization as synthetic method, butyl acrylate(BA) and isooctyl acrylate(2-EHA) as viscosit y monomers, methyl methacrylate(MMA) as cohesive monomer, acrylic acid(AA) and acrylamide(AM) as functional monomer, azobisisobutyronitrile(AIBN) and benzoyl peroxide(BPO) as init iator, ethyl acetate as polymerization reaction solvent. Infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) was used to characterize the polymeric product. Subsequently, epoxy resin curing agent and aluminum acetylacetonate(Al ACA) were used to crosslink with the prepared acrylic pressure-sensit ive adhesive. In addition, viscous monomer ratio, cohesive monomer amount, the amount of functional monomer, init iator type and amount of crosslinking agent, polymerization time, the polymerization temperature and other factors on the effects of the conversion rate, viscosity, init ial adhesion, holding adhesion, 180° peel strength and other properties of pressure-sensit ive adhesive were investigated. Thus, a kind of polymerization process and basic formula with better overall performance was obtained.Secondly, acrylic pressure-sensit ive adhesive with resistance to alternating temperature was synthesized by adding tackifier resin into above acrylic pressure-sensit ive adhesive with good adhesive performance and pressure sensit ive performance. The type and amount of tackifier resin were determined by adhesive performance test. At the same time, resistance to alternating temperature performance of acrylic pressure-sensit ive adhesive was investigated. Finally, heat-resistant materials, acrylic resin, acrylate rubber and vinyl silicone resin were used to modify above acrylic pressure-sensit ive adhesive. The amounts of heat-resistant materials were determined by appearance, contact angle, thermogravimetric analysis, adhesive properties and other tests of the product. Acrylic pressure-sensit ive adhesive modified by acrylic resin, acrylate rubber and vinyl silicone resin was proved to have good resistance to alternating temperature and resistance to heat.
