Study On The Landscape Design Of Residential Open Floor In The Pearl River Delta

With the development of economy and urbanization, the density of resident population isbecoming greater and greater. Therefore, it is almost inevitable that the form of dwellingconstruction should give priority to high-rise buildings. However, people are having lessoutdoor activities because of living in higher buildings. Then Open floor is an effective way tosolve this contradiction.Pearl River Delta has an earlier start on construction of Open Floor than other innerplaces due to the basis of its unique economy, humanities and climate environment. Thispaper summarizes the landscape design of the Open Floor in Pearl River Delta by practicalresearch and application analysis. This paper will analyze the problems that exist in theconstruction of the Open Floor and propose some related suggestions after this research.As a special landscape space form, Open Floor has not possessed a specification modelyet. The construction of the Open Floor needs not only experience but also constantexploration. It is not just a task of construction majors. It requires the changes of people’sinherent concept and also the guide and support of the policies and regulations of thegovernment planning departments. Through the summary of the paper, the author hopes toarouse the attention and concern of people on the landscape of Open Floor and advocate theoverhead of the bottom floor in order to guide a harmonious cultural quality of the lifepatterns of behavior and to improve people’s living conditions of environment and life.This paper consists of five parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces thebackgrounds and the significance of the research and anticipates the results. Moreover, theintroduction part proposes the methods and the frameworks of the research. The second part isthe theoretical bas is,which discusses the concept and function of the Open Floor. The thirdpart is the focus of this paper, the architectural forms and the principles of landscape design ofthe Open Floor will be discussed. And the overall arrangement and the function of the OpenFloor will be analyzed. Besides, the specific methods of the design, summarizing the keyelements and the related techniques and botanical collocation of it. The fourth part is theexample analysis. In this part, the landscape design of the Open Floor will be proved by thecomparison of the advantages and disadvantages of the design through specific cases. Thefifth part is the summary, which summarizes the present problem of the Open Floor and putsforward some proposals and makes a perspective as well.
