Research and development of kinds of external thermal insulation system of outer walls inexistence both home and abroad are reviewed based on external thermal insulation structure of outerwalls.The research methods of heat and moisture transfer on external thermal insulation system ofouter walls both home and abroad are summarized.The transient heat flux density, heat transfercoefficient and the mean liquid content of typical external thermal insulation structure of outer wallsare comparative analysed using numerical simulation under the actual climate.A new external thermalinsulation structure of outer walls is presented and the research on its thermal insulation performanceand dehumidifying performance is developed.And the effect of different brick and waterproofingmaterials on the heat transfer coefficient of new wall is studied.The results have important value onthe choice of building materials of external thermal insulation system of outer walls.A numerical calculation by Finite Volume Method was presented based on a transient1-Dmathematical model of heat and mass transfer.The temperature and moisture field of wall in hotsummer and cold winter zone such as NanJing are calculated using Matlab to program.And thecomparison between results of numerical calculation with simulation conclusions is given.Anexperiment of weather durable performance on the new external thermal insulation structure isconducted.And the heat transfer coefficient is also measured.Results have shown that new externalthermal insulation structure of outer wall meet requirements of weather durable.It also states theconstruction of new outer wall and the choice of materials are reasonable.At last through numericalcalculation and minitype fire prevention test, increasing a fire prevention isolation strip can delay thefire spreading and reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide is proved effectively.
