For a long time, the development of Chinese electric power system has been in a "heavypower, light-powered" model. Therefore, the role of the distribution network has not beengiven due attention in the power supply system. With the development of market economy,the majority of electricity users on safety, reliability and power quality requirements forpower continues to increase. Distribution Automation as an important means to improve thereliability and quality of power supply, has become a smart distribution grid developmentinevitable trend. Smart distribution grid communications network is the nervous system, liveuplink transmission and distribution terminal field device information collected, conveyeddown the command control centers. With two-way, real-time, high-speed communicationcapability, communications network is intelligent distribution network and an important partof the basic conditions, and its performance is good or bad largely determine the merits ofintelligent power distribution system. Therefore, how to set up a communications networkplanning and efficient distribution network construction become an important research topic.This paper first describes the development of domestic smart grid communications withan overview of the distribution network from a business perspective, analysis of distributionautomation and metering automation communication needs; Then we combine thecharacteristics of the distribution network communications needs of fiber opticcommunications, low pressure carrier communication, public wireless networkcommunication, wireless broadband private network communication technology, such ascomparative analysis of four categories. Based on characteristics of the distribution networkof the grid, we give the distribution network communications platform architecture thatdistribution network from the access layer communications backbone layer communicationand composition, combined with four technical comparison of the results were given fouraccess layer communications solutions; After it, electricity consumption for different regions,we plan and construct of five regional standards, and by comparison of the four technicalaspects of analysis, we give the specific construction of the different regions of thecommunication network backbone layer and access layer communication network mode.Finally, a city distribution network through research and analysis features and trends, from theperspective of engineering practice gives the distribution network construction mode, which issuitable for their own conditions. And focusing on TD-LTE technology basedcommunications network distribution plan, we set up programs and testing and validation of the technology in the power distribution network communication reliability. The program hasless investment, short construction period, etc., aimed at a city with a stable and reliableoperation of the grid system to provide efficient and practical communications networktransmission platform.
