Distribution automation is an important foundation of smart grid construction.Through network optimization,power load can be balanced,transmission network loss can be reduced,and operation efficiency can be improved.With the advantages of wide frequency bandwidth,large transmission capacity,low loss,long distance,anti-interference and small volume,power network communication based on optical fiber is gradually replacing microwave communication as the main means of communication.Therefore,it is imperative to establish a new transmission principle of optical fiber communication system.The purpose of this thesis is to study the application technology of optical fiber communication technology in distribution network.Starting from the concept and principle,the characteristics and advantages of optical fiber communication technology are analyzed,the operation mode of existing power grid is introduced,and a distribution communication network based on Ethernet passive optical network is designed according to the communication mode of existing power distribution network.The structure and composition of wavelength division multiplexing(WDM)system are analyzed from the perspective of optical transmission of optical fiber communication,and the simulation analysis of WDMsystem is carried out.The analysis results show that WDM technology has great advantages in optical fiber communication.The overall framework of optical fiber communication in distribution network is constructed,the scope and scale of optical fiber design scheme are determined,and the backbone layer and access layer are designed in detail.Finally,the terminal of automatic communication in distribution network is designed,and the overall design is summarized.A part of the completed communication network is tested and analyzed.Optical power test of optical interface,synchronous digital switching test and transmission rate test of Ethernet are carried out respectively.The results show that the design of optical fiber communication is completely reasonable and feasible,and the effective application of optical fiber communication in distribution network is basically realized.
