The production of waste tires into rubber powder used in road works, not only achievethe purpose of recycling waste, but also improve the performance of asphalt pavement,thereby extending the life of the asphalt pavement. However, the performance of rubberasphalt rubber mixture is influenced by rubber asphalt technical nature, and the processparameters which impact rubber asphalt technical properties are more. To this, the paperbased on the analysis of the key process parameters influence on the rubber modified asphaltproperties, comparative study based on the selected gap graded rubber asphalt mixture andSMA gradation of different performance, and compared with the SBS modified asphaltmixture,in order to find out the excellent performance of the rubber asphalt, guide the actualengineering applications to get the rubber asphalt application.The paper studied the changes of the four factors which include asphalt type, powdercontent, the lysis agent content and lysis time on the influence of rubber modified asphaltproperties by using the wet process. Meanwhile, the microscopic analysis by fluorescencemicroscopy showed that the microstructures of different rubber asphalts have great difference,changes in the microstructure of rubber asphalt is the main cause of technical properties’Variation.The paper focuses on studying the performance of the different mixtures of rubberasphalt. For different process parameters of gap-graded asphalt rubber mixes, compared andanalyzed working performance and road performance with the same asphalt-aggregate ratio,the results showed that Q90#asphalt+20%powder content+4‰lytic agent+pyrolysis3hours of rubber asphalt gap-graded mixture is more applicable to engineering practice, itsworking performance is also excellent. Subsequently, studied the performance comparison ofselected SMA-13graded mix by using that technical parameters of the rubber asphalt, thestudy found: selected SMA-13mixture has superior high-temperature performance. When youadd fiber, high temperature stable performance enhances greater magnitude, but its lowtemperature anti-cracking performance and working performance is slightly worse. The studyalso found that, no matter what kind of gap-graded, their rubber asphalt mixtures’ low temperature anti-cracking performance and water stability performance are all superior thanSBS modified asphalt mixture.
