This paper has conducted the comprehensivesystem research to asphalt rubber’s influencing factors, and has to do a more systematic studyon the microstructure of the asphalt rubber which has very important significance.This paper has conducted in-depth study on the modified preparation temperature, heatstorage time, powder types, powder dose, powder fineness and asphalt types.The results show,with the extension of the modified preparation temperature and thermal storage time, itcausing the decline in high temperature properties of the asphalt rubber and the increase inlow temperature properties, and the high temperature will lead to the aging of the asphalt.Modified preparation temperature and heat storage time, the same time, there are mutualchecks and balances. The modified preparation temperature higher, the shorter time will beable to achieve the desired modification effect; modified preparation temperature is low, thena long time. The composition of the rubber powder have a significant effect on modificationresults: the presence of synthetic rubber reduces the reactivity of crumb rubber, which leadsthe performance of asphalt rubber declining; natural rubber content increases can effectivelyimprove the technical nature of asphalt rubber, while the degree of crosslinking of the rubberto a certain extent affect the change in the nature of asphalt rubber technology. Dose isanother factor affecting the performance of asphalt rubber. When rubber powder dose is lessthan20%, increasing doses, the high and low temperature performance of the asphalt rubberhave varying degrees of increase. But when doses greater than20%, although the hightemperature performance and low temperature performance has varying degrees of increase, but increase the amplitude decreases. Fineness is a significant factor affecting theperformance of asphalt rubber, fineness of crumb rubber is not the bigger the better, but withthe increase of the rubber powder fineness, there is an optimum fineness. Asphalt rubberunder this fineness can get a better high temperature performance, compared with smallerfineness rubber powder, low-temperature properties has been increased. In addition, there areobvious compatibility relations between the asphalt type and crumb rubber, good qualityasphalt and crumb rubber may not be able to prepare a good performance of the asphaltrubber.The fluorescence microscopy results show that,under different influent factors,there isa big difference in the microscopic structure of the asphalt rubber. Maybe it’s the mainreason, that the asphalt rubber’s micro structural changes leading to the change of asphaltrubber’s technology. The asphalt rubber four-components of the experimental results showthat, after crumb rubber cracking, there is a substantial increase in the relative content of theglial component in the asphalt, this may be a major cause of the asphalt ductility increases. |
