Construction machinery is very important for national economic development. With a properlubrication system, machines’ wear failure rate and maintenance cost will be reduced and workefficiency will be raised. Traditional centralized lubrication system exists such shortcomings ascomplicated compositions and high pressure lost, etc. Depending on deep analysis of workingsituations and lubrication traits of construction machinery, a new smart distributed lubrication systemis developed, which consists of grease-input, grease-output devices and intelligent controlling system.A multi-point qualitify pump is developed, which integrates the function of pump and distributor intraditional centralized lubrication system. Besides, an upper system is researched to collect thelubrication condition of construction machinery which work together by wireless network, in order tomake them under united control. This intelligent distributed lubrication system can achieve preciselubrication, and it also enjoys many advantages of simple constitutions, low pressure lost and highintelligent, etc.The main contents in this paper are as follows:Firstly, the general compositions of this new system are put forward, structure of the multi-pointlubrication pump and piston lubricator is designed. An automatic directional valve3/2way isresearched, and simulation of grease flow in the grease-input process and grease-output process withFluent software is obtained to verify the rational design of the lubrication system.Secondly, hardware of controlling system is designed, which includes temperature detection andalarming, keys-setting and LCD display, DC motor drive and communication, etc.Thirdly, the controlling system is programmed with KeilC51platform. Main subroutines includeDC motor drive, keys-setting, temperature detection and alarming and communication, etc. Andsimulation is done with Proteus and KeilC51to verify the reasonable design of hardware and softwaredesign about controlling system.Finally, upper system is developed with VB6.0, and by realizing communication between upperand low system, the upper system acquires the lubrication condition of several construction machinerywhich work together, and put forward effective lubrication maintain suggestion.
