Study On Layout Method Of Public Bicycle Rental Station

The rapid development of urban motorization lead to a series of problems, trafficcongestion, environmental pollution and resources consumptions, etc., the concept oflow-carbon travel more and more get the attention of the world. In recent years, public bicycletraffic in the rapid development of our country as a mode of transportation that is low-carbonand environmental protection, the public bicycle not only the most convenience transportationfor short distance travel, but also improve the city’s public transportation system.However, when our country city public bike rental station in planning, it mostly based onthe experience or the intuition of planners, there is no theoretical basis for reasonable layout,that lead to public bike rate very low after put into use in many cities, so we need a theoreticalmethod to guide the reasonable layout of public bicycle rental station.Firstly, the paper summarizes the application status of domestic and foreign publicbicycle, the domestic urban public bicycle positioning and the problems existing in thedevelopment, the author think reasonable layout planning can improve the efficiency of publicbicycle, better play to the role of the public bicycles.Secondly, this paper assume that there are each traffic zone OD data, builds a Logitmodel to forecast the rental demand of public bike based on the selection of transportation,then established average station spacing model for the target of user travel time minimum,operating costs minimize and environmental benefits maximum, then solve the model.Finally, this paper put forward two layout method of public bicycle rental station basedon the average station spacing of indicators, grid method and concentric circles method. In thegrid method, first determine a central point, and then draw grid to the average station spacingand setting a rental station in each box. This paper defines six major attractions, order thedistance between alternate and each attraction in the small area as the indicators, using theAHP to determine the weight of each attraction, and rise the calculating formula of theimportant degree of each alternative station. Concentric circle method is a method itdetermine six rental stations position by a central point, to average station spacing of radiuscircle, and describes how to determine the position of the six lease point in turn. In this paper,the advantages and disadvantages of two methods were compared, and describe how tochoose the two methods under different network structure.
