The traditional vehicle steering stability research need to trial and error by using samplecar, not only consumes resources, the design cycle is longer, but also some test are verydangerous, so it is difficult to implement. The simulation technology of modern, just onlyknow structureand characteristic parameters of the design producers, and to modify and makeit perfect, it willbe completed to simulate and analysis the vehicle steering stability. Moreover, the design cycleis shorter, without wasting of resources, and more difficult test can becompleted, it also can getthrough the simulation data and results guidance and participate inthe performance of analysisand optimization. In this paper, we make multibody system dynamics theory and method as theresearchfoundation, and through the application of multibody system dynamics software MSC.ADAMS, use a car as the prototype, through using ADAMS/Car module to modify templateparameterand key point position, establish front and rear suspension system, steering systemand sevensubsystem model, finally build the vehicle dynamic model. According to the vehiclesteeringstability of GB/T6323-1994provisions for the open loop system simulation test, includingsteering wheel Angle step inputs, steering wheel Angle inputs, turn back to it andsteady turningtest, edit the driver control files on driver-car-road closed-loop simulationexperiment system, including the fleeing serpent and turning portability test. Then, the bushas been made a road testing. The model of simulation is correct by contrast of the result ofsimulation andexperiment. At last, analyst the effect that Vechicle parameters to the busHandling stability in the theoryand study the effect on the bus Handling stability whenchanging the Vechicle parameters.
