Study On Reasonable Scale Of City Taxi Capacity

Our country’s city taxi industry started relatively late relative to developed countries. Butwith the advancement of urbanization in China, the residents’living standard is increasing dayby day, people put forward higher request to travel mode. The taxi with the characteristics offast, convenient, comfortable, safety and services widely, obtained rapid developmentopportunities. And it has become an important part of urban passenger transportsystem.However, in recent years, the contradiction between supply and demand of the urbantaxi intensified. The situation of car difficult、the driver refuse to transport passengers、working long hours occurs frequently. There are driver strike extreme phenomenon in somecities. All of these problems are caused by unreasonable taxi capacity scale. In the future, cityscale will expand, the travel demand of residents will constantly increasing. The taxi industrywill face more severe tests. With that, this paper is based on the reasonable scale of the urbantaxi capacity as the research content, try to through the analysis of the influence factors of thetaxi capacity scale and the balance between supply and demand relationship, to research itsreasonable scale.Firstly, this paper sumnrarizes the study status at internal and abroad about the taxicapacity scale, clears the definition of city taxi and its service object, analyses its operationcharacteristics, on this basis, compared with foreign developed cities, analyzes the law ofdevelopment of our country’s taxi. Secondly, starting from the relationship between supplyand demand of taxi, the influencing factors and transport mechanism of the taxi capacity scaleare analyzed in detail.And according to the variation rules of supply and demand balance andimplementation approach of the taxi capacity scale, put forward the judgment index of theequilibrium of supply and demand. Mainly includes the vehicle loading rate, mileageutilization ratio, the average passenger waiting time, time utilization, taxi sharing rate, etc.Then, from the perspective of supply and demand balance, taxi effective range for thebalance,combining with the requirements of the passenger car equivalent time, and the taxi capacityloss caused by traffic jams, the reasonable size of taxi capacity calculation model is set up.Finally, take the Xi’an taxi industry present situation for example,the paper made an empiricalanalysis. The results show thatXi’an taxicapacity supplyis less than demand. The practicabilityand reliability of the model is verified by examples.
