The swing mechanism is the important constituent of an excavator. When anexcavator works, the time of the swing mechanism works occupy65%-75%of it. So theperformance of the swing mechanism has an important effect on the performance of anexcavator. Because these, it becomes very obvious that the analysis of dynamics to the swingmechanism has important value.This paper first introduces the general situation of hydraulic excavators and rotarydevice, and expounds the dynamics simulation analysis is required using the virtualprototyping technology, followed by the rotary device is analyzed in the symmetric and frontlayout, the establishment of3D model of gear and the rotating device using Solid works andthe turning device of the kinematics simulation analysis, the symmetrical layout can balanceout two rotating pinion and ring gear meshing force, symmetrical layout accelerationfluctuation is small, smooth movement of the rotary device is greatly improved; again themodel into ADAMS, establish virtual prototype of rotary device, the gear meshing forceanalysis and dynamic simulation, thus the symmetrical layout of the gear meshing forcechange little impact of small, gear stress is small, the transmission is steady. Finite elementanalysis is important part of the turning device of rotary spindle, modal analysis of the gear, todetermine the influence of exciting force to the rotary vertical shaft.
