In recent years, with the rapid development of automobile industry, positioning andnavigation, wireless communications technology, and needs of the current socio-economicdevelopment, promoted intelligent transportation systems came into being. ITS combineswireless communications, positioning and navigation, control, geographic informationsystems and computer processing techniques used to effectively integrate the entiretransportation management system, effectively alleviate traffic congestion, improve roadcapacity, reduce accidents, reduce energy consumption, reduce environmental pollution. As animportant part of intelligent transportation systems, GPS vehicle location monitoring systemresearch has important practical significance.This paper analyzes the current situation of GPS vehicle location system at home andabroad as well as through in-depth research on key technologies related to GPS, GIS,3Gcommunications technology, and proposed the use of3G communications technology to buildGPS vehicle location system, and overall design. The GPS vehicle location system is dividedinto two parts that vehicle monitoring center system and vehicle positioning communicationsystem. This paper focuses on the GPS monitoring center monitoring and managementplatform and server communication middleware. GPS monitoring and management platformis developed C#in the Microsoft Visual Studio2010development environment.NET and JSlanguages. Module of GIS location service is called map data and secondary developmentinterface of Mapbar, achieved vehicle location and tracking on a Web electronic map.Middleware of server communication is communication the vehicle terminal and GPSmonitoring management platform for bridge, to complete mainly the information exchangebetween them. Server middleware package for vehicle information of new and unified, usingthe provisions of the agreement, so that they can communicate more smoothly. Finally,proposed and implemented a communications server IOCP optimization model, it is a goodsolution to the problem of server load, effectively improve the bearing capacity of the server in the Socket communication programming basis.GPS vehicle location system is integration of GPS, GIS,3G communication technology,database technology and computer data processing technology, improved the real-timelocation, information transmission, monitoring and management of vehicles stability andreliability, and successful realization of the intended target. After testing, system performanceis stability. Currently, the system has been successfully applied in business and governmentdispatch vehicles, logistics, rental and other industries.
