At present, the low-speed diesel engine has been widely used as a ship power plant,usually low-speed diesel engine requires a lot of air inflow. But in the Marine atmospherecontains much more moisture,excess water will abrasion compressor blade, after pressurizedair bring the excess water into the engine scavenging box and cylinder, it will damage theoil film on the cylinder,increase corrosion and wear of cylinder and piston ring, aggravatecorrosion of exhaust valve,lead to the diesel power and economy performance falling,thusaffects the performance and service life of diesel engine. This article conduct numericalsimulation of the Marine low speed diesel engine gas water separator model,for gas waterseparator ship optimization design and improvement to provide a certain basis. This paperconducted the following several aspects:1、Based on theoretical study sets up the geometric model and mathematical model ofgas water separator, under the condition of different operating loads, first of all, the gasphase is simulated, then introducing the discrete phase model,obtain the gas water separatorresistance performance and separation efficiency, and at last analyze the performance of thegas water separator.2、On the basis of the original gas water separator model, put forward three projectschanging the interval of corrugated plate,turning Angle and simplify the third-levelhydrophobic hook, based on not to affect the performance of gas water separator optimizethe aerodynamic performance of corrugated plate. comparing the calculation results of thethree schemes with the original model and giving the changed curve of total pressure lossand separation efficiency, comprehensive analysis: what the spacing is25mm, turningAngle is36°and simplify the third hydrophobic hook is the best solution, it provides thegist for the future of corrugated plate theory, experimental research and optimization design.3、Proposing four kinds of corrugated plate structure widely used in engineeringapplication in the present stage,and use the four kinds of different structure to replace theexisting gas water separator corrugated plate structure, after simulated calculation,compareand analysis with the original model of gas water separator performance, research result:standard corrugated plate structure can be better to replace the corrugated plate structure of original model to compose the gas water separator.
