Bridge-Type Bucket Wheel Reclaimer, a type of Bucket Wheel Machine, is the RawMaterial Yard Equipment used together with Blending Stacker in second stockyard. Itsmaterial compositions are stable and have a small fluctuating value. Also, it can fullyimprove the quality of the material and its utilization rate, which results in its wide usein material conveying industry. Since wheel is the most vital part of Bridge-Type BucketWheel Reclaimer, both its size optimization and reliability analysis are of great necessityto reduce design cost and enhance reliability.This thesis takes the wheel of Bridge-Type Bucket Wheel Reclaimer,applied in acertain company as its research object and attempts to build a three-dimensional designmodel which is driven by parameterized dimension and a parametric model of finiteelements analysis. The issue of uncertainty optimization of the wheel will be solved tofurther analyze the reliability of the results. After studying relative literatures at homeand abroad, the main contents of this paper are listed as follows:1.CAD parametric design method: study the top-down design method which is basedon frame and then apply it to build a three-dimensional parameterized model of thewheel. This thesis is also expected to set up a three-dimensional model of the wheelwhich is parametric frame-driven and to generate the two-dimensional engineeringdrawing in order to direct the production.2.Finite elements parametric analysis: by studying parameterized analysis-relatedtheories and using ANSYS second development language APDL to programme, thisthesis tries to obtain the parameterized model of finite elements analysis of the wheeland then to make static analysis of it to serve the purpose of testing whether the strengthand stiffness are accord with the operating requirements.3.Uncertainty optimization: by taking into account the uncertainty of the weight andthickness of the steel plate caused by various errors, this paper is to apply relevantoptimizing theories and methods to settle the problem of uncertainty optimization of thewheel of Bridge-Type Bucket Wheel Reclaimer.4.Reliability analysis: the author will apply Monte Carlo Method to verify the results of theoptimization, through which the degree of the reliability of the results is available.
