The energy problems which mankind are facing become more and more prominent, as a clean energy, solar energy has been of universal importance, so how to improve the utilization of solar energy has become the research hotspot. In solar thermal power generation, the photovoltaic power generation system’s sun-tracking controller can greatly enhance the utilization of solar energy.According to the comparison of literatures, absorbing the advanced technology using16-bit MSP430-F149single-chip,the sun-tracking controller which carrieout by step motor and controlled by the time will been designed.The paper includes the following:1)In hardware, we select the AS1117power conversion chip as power supply, time controlled by DS1302clock chip displaied by74HC244A driver chip in order to follow the circuit and transistor-driven motor and MAX232chip debugging serial port connection.2)In Software, the controller is controlled by the clock, in accordance with time pulse sequence and interval to control the motor speed, corrected by photodiode, take real-time tracking of the sun.The Sun-tracking Controller has high stability, controlling and the tracking system are relatively simple.It can effectively perform signal processing and dynamic control. It will greatly reduce the cost if it can be used for photovoltaic power plant.
