Power system has had one hundred years of history, although the voltage level compared with scale has changed existing difference, but the system’s structure and operating principle hardly has any change. Entering the21st century, facing today’s social and economic development of electric power system and propose the new requirements of power electronics and computer, such as wide application of new technologies, it is necessary to re-examine the past grid construction mode, this paper discusses the new development direction in the future grid, so the smart grid is a result of this study. Because of intelligent network technology development power system is undergoing a profound change.Establishment of smart grid is a huge historical project. At present, many complex smart grid projects in progress, but the gap is still huge. For smart grid technology providers, Tthe challenge is to upgrade the distribution network, substation automation and power transportation, smart grid and smart meter network. Smart grid technology market will grow from﹩33billion in2012to grow to﹩73billion in2020, eight years to reach﹩494billion cumulative market.Our country will be built "three vertical and three horizontal ring" of UHV AC in the "Twelfth Five-Year" period. invest up to300billion yuan,.Although investment will slight slowdown in the " Thirteen Five " period, the amount of investment reached250billion yuan.Smart grid as a new thing with large scale, long life cycle, complex environmental, this project will face varied risk in the whole life cycle, therefore project risk management to project is the success or failure of the play a crucial role. This paper describes the major risks of comprehensive smart grid project possible through scientific research methods,analysis focused on smart grid construction project risk evaluation index basic features; On the basis, in-depth review and study of smart grid construction project risk classification and characteristics. And selected smart grid construction project risk indicators, according to the importance of risk to sort of smart grid.This article includes the following:First, analysis the smart grid construction project risks and characteristics, analysis the basic characteristics of project risk evaluation of Smart grid construction; Second:construction of risk assessment system of smart grid projects,and selected risk indicators.Construction the smart grid construction project risk evaluation based on AHP model;Third:identify risk indicators based on the order of importance of smart grid construction project risk weights,then,combined with project-specific information to assessment its risk.
