The ice accretion has caused a serious driving problem and curing incident in the northern region of China.The cases that insecure the driving environment like the car skidded,braking distance extended,driving glare and direction losing control happened more a lot under the snowfall pavement situation,that may lead a catastrophic road safety hazard.Now facing this trouble sprinkling salt to break the ice has been widely used(also sprinkling the deicing salt),but either way is not only corrosive but also cause immeasurable environmental pollutions and irreversible road damages.Therefore,solving the anti ice accretion question in a physical way has been brought on the agenda,fatherly,if We could break the ice accretion just using the vehicle dynamic load itself,it would be the best.As a vision,the research about high elastic pavement has been studied deeper and deeper and the exploration is mainly related to the crumb rubber asphalt mix. But there are a variety of ways to design the crumb rubber asphalt mix,and much of these are conservative, so it is difficult to form a effective and systematic mix design method.Also the relation between the elastic characteristics and the ice-breaking functionality is blurred,and how to design the mix from the ice-breaking point of view is worth thinking.This article has improved the process of the rubber asphalt mix design by using uniform design method.At the same time it determined the rational content range of the crumbed rubber.The results indicated that:1.When the proportion between the9.5mm aggregates and the4.75mm ones is around1:1also the amount goes as much as possible,the elasticity modulus and the Dynamic stability of the mix shows its great performance.2.The rational content range of the crumbed rubber under the optimization mix is1%-6%.The functionality of the crumb rubber asphalt mix depends on its elasticity.the recent completed research indicated that:elasticity modulus of the crumb rubber asphalt mix depends on the bitumen aggregate ratio,void ratio and the content of the crumbed rubber.This article tries to study on the elastic characteristics of the rubber asphalt mix under different crumbed rubber content by using uniform design method.And it also considered the pavement performance of the mix. The results shows that:1.In meeting the Dynamic stability of the modified asphalt mixture greater than3000,the reasonable dosage of the crumbed rubber is1%-5%.2.When the VCA of the coarse aggregate is greater than35.85%,it may leads the failure of the pavement performance.Also the article has elaborated the ice-breaking mechanism of the crumb rubber asphalt mix and conducted the in-door ice-breaking test,the result indicated that the presence of crumbed rubber makes the mix gets the ability of ice-breaking,and it is affected by the content of the crumbed rubber,the thickness of ice and so on. And the reasonable contend which leads a superior pavement performance and anti ice accretion functionality of the crumbed rubber is2.5%-5%.
