With the rapid development of Chinese industry, power system gradually generates some power quality problems, such as voltage fluctuation in the input process, imbalance of the three phase voltages that caused by load impact. Aiming at these problems, the dynamic var compensation is an important method. This paper uses TCR-SVC to solve these problem, because the device has a compensation effect in the practical application, it can reduces the Electric energy loss in the transmission process, improve the power system stability, eliminate the interference, so TCR-SVC Plays a very important role in the dynamic var compensation of power system compensation.This paper introduces the basic structure and working principle of TCR at first, then analyzes the characteristics of TCR, harmonic and harmonic suppression. On this basis, derived the compensation algorithm based on space vector transform, through Steinmetz theory and the symmetrical component method, and compared with other methods. Modeling and simulation and then using MATLAB software SIMULINK carries on the compensation algorithm and compensation device. The simulation platform can make the three-phase load balance effectively, and enhances the power factor, the space vector transform algorithm is an effective control algorithm, it can be well used in this paper.After achieved certain results in the simulation, this paper design a SVC control device that based on DSP. The controllert is based on DSP and CPLD as the core. With the design of the hardware and software, the controller has practical engineering application.
