In recent years, the adjustment of world’s energy market cause a significantchange of global energy pattern, the contradiction between energy supply and demandin our country, the contradiction between energy use and environmental protection,are becoming increasingly prominent. At the same time, China is actively promotingenergy conservation and emissions reduction policy, the pace of energy structureadjustment is accelerating, clean energy represented by water has becomeincreasingly important in the protection of economic and social development andenergy security aspects of strategic position. Our country has rich water resource asthe main form of exploitation and utilization of hydropower resources, hydroelectricpower takes the dominant position in clean energy in our country because of itsenvironmental protection economy, flexible operation, mature technology, and manyother advantages. In the new century, along with large numbers of reservoirs andhydropower station is completed, running, planning, our country hydropowercontribution drives into high speed development. In this background, the study ofreservoir hydropower station optimal operation problems has high practicalsignificance and application value.This paper firstly summarizes reservoir hydropower station optimal operationdomestic and foreign present research situation and related theory. On this basis, thispaper puts forward the concept of joint optimization operation and builds couplingmathematical model, and uses the difference-genetic hybrid intelligent algorithm forsolving, let Luhun Reservoir as example. The research content of this paper issummarized as follows:(1) According to the law of hydropower station economic operation andreservoir optimal operation, uses power reference flow as coupling connection factorto establish coupling model, that is to optimization allocation downward flowcalculated by reservoir optimal operation in each unit of hydropower plant, and makethe optimal capacity as the benefit function of reservoir optimal operation.(2) In view of coupling model’s more binding and the strong nonlinearcharacteristics, this paper puts forward difference-genetic hybrid intelligent algorithm which is suitable for coupling model, that is to discrete in space and time scales usedby difference and use genetic algorithm to solve coupling model.(3) Make Luhun reservoir and lose water tunnel as example, builds jointoptimization scheduling and uses difference-genetic hybrid intelligent algorithm forsolving and analysis. The calculation results show that the coupling model can wellreflect the status of power plant, model algorithm is reasonable and reliable and canbetter guide the plant production operations.
