Complex Design Research On Maintenance Building For Older People

Currently, due to the aging population is increasing, and the social and family’ssituation are changing in China, the demand of the nursing construction is imminent.Generally, at this stage, the endowment facilities are poor, and the service levels ofsingle function, aging facilities, do not cope well with the aging healthy life demand.This means that both the aging mode and the construction mode, even the architecturedesign itself are all need for theory and practice exploration from the old fitness,rationality and humanistic care level.In this paper, the nursing house is the core research object. The study is talkingabout the elder nursing house building composite design idea and relevantarchitecture design theory, literature, and specification to put out forward. This papertakes the one retired works dormitory in Kaifeng for example, to explore the best wayfor the elder people’s daily life.There are three parts in the thesis:The first part: Clearly the paper’s framework, introduced the concept of elderlynursing building and design concept. Discusses the fundamental distinctions andbetween “combination” and “complex” in the conception.The second part: including the Chapter Two and Chapter Three. To put forwardthe complex design and the three major design principles idea of nursing buildingwhich one is more suitable for the elder, and the functions and serves principle.Moreover, to discuss the nursing building configuration and complex space compositedesign concept structure. In this part also emphasized the needed of the differenttypes of space necessarily, for instance, the professional medical and religiousextensible necessity space type.The third part is the Chapter Four. According to a real project to exploring thedesign of operating complex design concept, the applicability, foresight andexemplary level. Also focus on the design of the public space and the basic old-ageliving service.Hope this paper can provide some valuable suggestions for elderly nursing building in our country.
