Many countries in the world spend a huge amount of money for equipment maintenance every year, and may have different kinds of wasty due to the limitation of the maintenance management system and method, the same problem is happened in China. Failure of power equipment not only make trouble to power system but also may cause huge loss to GDP, so good preventive maintenance system is required.Due to history problem, power equipment maintenance system in China is mainly based on periodic maintenance system, the shortage of periodic maintenance system is that many power equipments which are in good operation conditions sometimes are over maintained, it lost a lot of money and may shorten the lifetime of the equipment due to frequently dismantal and assembly. In order to sovle this problem, there are some work done in the paper as below description:Firstly:Investigation and analysis to the current situation of power substation, point out the shortage of current maintenance system.Secondly:Analyzing the key factor which have influence to equipment operation condition, establishing the Analytic Hierarchy Process for equipment condition evaluation, adopting AHP to different level of factor for analyzing and quantitative calculation to get the weight&ratio for each factor in different level.Finally:Get the synthetic judgment with Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation to the actual maintenance condition of equipments in power substation.
