The rapid development of the national economy and the shortage of coal resources exacerbate the conflicts between the electricity demand growth and the shortage of coal for power generation. In order to guarantee the long-term stability of coal supply for power generation and control the generation costs, A Thermal Power Plant had conducted a series of transformation for burnning the lignite.Post-evaluation for the transformation of A Thermal Power Plant not only can strengthen the overall management of transformation of the thermal power plant, but also can provide guidance and reference for the same type projects of construction and renovation, which is beneficial to improve the theory level advanced.Based on the worldwide research literature of post-evaluation, combined with the characteristics of thermal power plant, the theory and methods of transformation thermal power plant are discussed in details in this paper. A thermal power plant were analyzed from several aspects, such as the process, economic, social impact, achieve goals. In this paper, the main indicators are extracted from all aspects of the evaluation and comprehensive evaluation method based on AHP are used to evaluate of the entire transformation projects.Through a comprehensive analysis and evaluation for the transformation, the advanced experience, the issue and recommended practices are concluded in this paper, contributing to provide theoretical guidance and practical learning for decision-making and management level.
