With the extension of road mileage and the increase of car amount, the traffic accident rates are consistently high. The crossing-related accidents amount is more than half of the total number of traffic accidents. Unsafe behaviors were valued as a direct cause of the accident by researchers. Traffic environment is the indirect factors that affecting human behavior. And it has an effect of inducting human acts. Therefore, it is necessary to research human unsafe behavior in different crossing traffic environments, for the analysis of its causes and laws.Based on the analysis and summary of research achievements, this paper studied the human unsafe behavior of road crossing. The conception of traffic behavior in unsafe time and space were proposed. Then the psychological characteristics and act performance of unsafe behavior are summarized. According to the results, three types of traffic participants have the same unsafe psychology as luck mentality, conformity mentality, seeking quick mentality, experience mentality, fear mentality.After using video survey to get four intersections unsafe behavior data, the independence test about the relationship between three types of traffic participants’ behavior and environment were composed. The results showed that pedestrians and vehicles’behavior are related to regional traffic environment, rather than the non-motor vehicle behaviors in unsafe time intersection has nothing to do with small regional environment. Differences in human behavior data were analyzed from the perspective of the traffic environment combined with field observation and the common causes of three types of traffic participant behavior and were analyzed and summarized:the relationship of traffic participants is the coexistence of competition and cooperation, and inappropriate allocation of individual road traffic space caused traffic unsafe behavior.Based on the statistics of intersection traffic conflict time index (TTC) in Huainan city, the standard for judging the vehicle traffic conflict severity can obtained:conflict in the range of1.7>TTC>0.8s is non-serious conflict, and in the interval of0<TTC <0.7s is serious conflict; Traffic incident does not constitute a conflict when TTC>1.7s. According to this result, the data can be classified and calculated the rate of traffic conflict. Sequence of security level of four intersections from high to low is C’s ordinary time, C’s peak time, D’s ordinary time, B’s ordinary time, A’s ordinary time. After analyzing, the traffic space of human is important fact that impact traffic conflict.At last, improvement measures about the security situation of Huainan city plane intersection was put forward from two aspects of traffic environment and traffic participants.
