With the rapid development of economy in our country, various types of rotating machinery has been widely used. Bearing is the key component of rotating machinery, and its reliability is very important to the safe operation of the equipment, therefore is of great significance for bearing fault diagnosis. Traditional fault diagnosis system is mostly based on PC systems, which is inconvenient to use under complex working conditions. This paper presents an embedded bearing fault diagnosis instrument based on ARM, which has the advantages of small size, convenient operation and low cost.According to the functional requirements of the system, the overall design of software and hardware is proposed. The system uses Samsung S3C2440 chip as the core of hardware platform design, the embedded Linux operating system as the core of the software platform design. Finally, the functions of data acquisition, fault diagnosis and human computer interaction are carried out by bearing fault diagnosis software.The hardware system mainly includes:S3C2440 core processor module, data acquisition module, storage module, communication module, human-computer interaction module and power module. The data acquisition module uses the PCB353 acceleration sensor to collect the vibration signal, and includes the LM334 three terminal adjustable constant current circuit and the signal amplification circuit. Storage module is mainly used to store system software and data. Communication module is mainly used for the local communication with PC hardware platform and debugging. Power module is mainly composed of the three terminal voltage stabilizing circuit and provides the basic guarantee for the system running. The software development of the system mainly includes the transplantation of the embedded Linux operating system and the construction of cross development environment, as well as the development of the AD driver and bearing fault diagnosis application software. Device driver model mainly includes device initialization, implementation of device operation and drive cancellation, etc. Bearing fault diagnosis application calls AD driver for data collection. It also contains interactive interface and bearing fault diagnosis algorithm.The human-computer interaction interface is developed based on Qt in this paper, including system parameter setting interface, data acquisition interface and diagnosis result display interface. The fault diagnosis algorithm is developed based on multi-scale wavelet envelope spectrum analysis using Morlet wavelet. The parameter of Morlet wavelet can be selected by maximizing the energy-to-entropy ratio. Experimental studies using rolling bearings vibration data of various fault types have confirmed the effectiveness of bearing fault diagnosis algorithm. Finally, the system test is carried out on the laboratory rolling bearing experimental platform, and the bearing fault diagnosis application software can run normally. Experimental results show that the system can better achieve rolling bearings fault diagnosis.
