The transformation of smart grid and the development of the power industrypresent new challenges on the dispatching automation system. New demands, newautomation technology, new international standards continue to emerge, a newgeneration of dispatch automation system must have a very adaptability and opennessin order to comply with requirements of the power system development and musthave a forward-looking design and structure to adapt to the rapid changes in theapplicationIn order to meet the evolving needs of the grid, Hohhot dispatching automationsystem has been upgraded from November2012to December2013. In order to trulyunderstand its effects and problems of upgrading, and to effectively control theconstruction quality of the system, and to provide effective decision-making referencefor the expansion project, it needs to evaluate the upgrading transformation effects ofHohhot dispatching automation system. The evaluation has important practicalsignificance to comprehensive understanding the ability to control of the region’s griddispatching automation system and to security, stability systematic of the regulationintegrated operation management mode.Based on the introduction of dispatching automation system and evaluationtheory, the thesis discoursed deficiencies of the original system, summarized theobjectives, programs and upgrading works of the implementation and summarizedthe necessity of upgrading for evaluation. This thesis established suitable evaluationsystem for Hohhot dispatching automation system of upgrading, and the fuzzycomprehensive evaluation model were used for evaluation, and the evaluation resultswere analyzed to provide reference for improving the upgrading.
