As an advanced organization way and management technology, Modern logistics has become an important driving force of economic development. Railway has the irreplaceable important position in modern logistics system as the backbone of the comprehensive transportation system in China. In the face of fierce market competition and the opportunity of transport network rapidly expanding, developing the railway modern logistics has become an important strategic choice to adapt to the freight market. The construction of railway modern logistics center is the key to railway modern logistics development. To improve the competitiveness of the railway logistics center and increase the freight market share is conductive to the transformation of railway freight transportation, which can improve the overall competitiveness of railway transportation.Combined with the functions and market positioning of railway logistics center, based on its operational organization and service level, the study analysis the influence factors, and build a generalized cost model to measure railway logistics center competitive forces. Expend the following studies:(1) The thesis expounds the basis theory of railway logistics center, including the characteristic and functions of railway logistics center, the market localization of railway logistics center. And the paper concluded the problem of railway freight station, and finger out the railway logistics center development purposes.(2) The main competitive factors of railway logistics center is analyzed. The paper analysis the differences of operation process of railway freight station and those of railway logistics center and general logistics center, then then analysis the logistics capability for the logistics organization operational capability and the consignor choice behavior research. The factors that affect the competitive lever were analyzed systematically.(3) Taking the competitive factors into consideration, the thesis builds a generalized cost model to measure competitive forces of railway logistics center. Taking the western railway logistics center as an example, the paper calculated the utility value according the model. Theoretical calculation results showed:the competitive level of the western railway logistics center varies according to the transport distance.(4) According to the flow capacity is saturated or not, railway logistics center has two scenarios. Comparing Rongwan and Chengkun channel, the thesis made sensitivity analysis in different scenarios. The example showed that the sensitivity of competitive factors differed from the freight transport distance and the flow capacity conditions.
