Pixian Huayuan Town Renovation Project Cost-benefit Analysis And Management Research

China’s New-type Urbanization system is formed with metropolis, medium-sized city, small city and town. Small towns are distributed over around the country, and connect the city and the countryside. The renovation, construction and development of small towns impact China’s urbanization process, and signicantly effect on urbanization development level.Accordding to the2010’s document from Chengdu government, the kind of general towns refers to towns over the city area, which excepts city districts, counties and34model towns. In2010, the revonation work of Chengdu general towns started. It involves the construction of resettlement housing, road, infrastructure, public service facility, underground pipe network, landscape, commercial building, real estate and industrial project. This is either a government leading, or financial funding, or social capital participating work, and it is a welfare project benefits for people’s livelihood.Pixian Huayuan Town is determined as a general town. The Huayuan Town government started the Pixian Huayuan Town Renovation Project in2010, which was aid to invite social capital to renovate the whole town area. Therefore, to complete the project and reach the renovation goal, making the cost-benefit analysis and research on management is essential. The successful Huayuan Town renovation also provides valuable reference to other renovation projects in Chengdu.The project management mode is widely adopted by various professions. Due to the writer’s self experiences of the Pixian Huayuan Town Renovation Project, as a town governor, the writer applies project management knowledges learned from the Southwestern University of Financial and Economics to discuss and determine project investment mode, complete the cost-benefit analysis, make the project schedule plan, and furthermore provide trouble solusions and measures.This dissertation has five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction. This part states the research background information, research goal and research method.The second part introduces the renovation project and management. It firstly introduces the project, project management, definition and characteristics. Then, as a town governor, the writer states the management process. These all provide theory evidences to Huayuan Town renovation’s cost-benefit analysis and management research.The fourth chapter includes the implementation and countermeasures of Pixian Huayuan Town Renovation Project. This part provides implementation plan and schedule. The writer also provides effective measures to urgent issues and troubles.The fifth part is a conclusion. This part provides research result and suggestions for future work.
